I am a product designer in Chandigarh who designs software for moments that are not calm

Three products shaped how I work. At PrepLadder I designed for medical aspirants studying for some of the hardest exams in India. At Zuddl I designed the live experience behind virtual and in-person events, where there is no undo and no second take. At Payzli, where I am the founding and lead product designer, I built a point of sale that salon owners describe as fun, not work.

The thread through all of it is the same. I do not design for the happy path, I design for how people actually behave when they are busy, stressed, or halfway through something going wrong. I will argue for the harder-to-build option when it is the right one for the person using it. And I care most about the parts of a product nobody is supposed to notice, the ones that quietly hold when everything else is on fire.

Off the clock I am a sneakerhead, a committed foodie, and far too into coffee, the kind who has opinions about the pour.

it's me

The fastest way to get me talking is a good espresso and a menu that was clearly designed by someone who hated the customer.

HOW I WORK

Design for the tired version

Start from the user’s real state, not the ideal one. Design for the tired version of the person, not the well-rested one in the pitch deck.

think first, draw later.

no perfect world here!

Argue for the harder build

Two weeks defending a UI because easier to build and better for the merchant are not the same trade.

Watch the floor, not the spec

The kind of detail you only catch by watching a salon floor, not by reading a spec.

watch, don’t guess.

details build trust.

The best work is invisible

Error recovery, progressive disclosure, the best event technology is the kind nobody notices.

Timeline

Payzli

Founding and lead product designer. The POS story, booking speed, turn-count fairness, refusing the traditional layout.

2024 to Current

Zuddl

Senior product designer. Attendee app and Stage, streaming error recovery, progressive disclosure on live controls.

2022 to 2024

PrepLadder

Product designer. NEET PG prep app rebuilt on Unacademy's design system: tabs by context, a ledger instead of a profile, a home that reports instead of sells.

2020 to 2022

Illuminz

Product designer. My early days, on a team that was extremely talented and still eager to learn. I had the eager part down.

2019 to 2020

Code Brew Labs

UI/UX designer. Where I first met UI design. Joined as an intern, finished well before the others and stayed on. I can't name every project now, but I remember the problems.

2018 to 2019

Let's Talk

I design for the moments that are not calm, the front desk on a Saturday, the speaker whose camera just died. If your product lives in moments like that, I want to hear about it.
